The suite we stayed in was very clean and comfortable with a great view as it was located high up on the hill. We enjoyed the view of the sea from the balcony. We even spotted a deer strolling between backyards. However, as the family live and rent few rooms on the property, we did not like the lack of privacy as our balcony was the pathway for the guests in the suite next to us. ( the photo you see of the property is for the family home that you might or might not get to stay in) and they did have some rules that could be hard to follow when you’re on vacation, like using the washer and dryer is only between 8 am and 8 pm, Quite time after 10 pm, and bed and breakfast means you inform them ahead of time that you need breakfast for the price of $10 per person per serving.
Big suite with decent accoutrements. Host was polite and efficient. Easy parking. The deck was sectioned off, but not private exactly. The view was the thing. Unreal view.
A stunning view from this meticulously kept home with gracious hosts. Every amenity is catered to - from your morning coffee or tea to shampoo and body wash. Very quiet and private space with a view that spans the horizon. Watch boats, ferries and sea life and just relax. The very best Vancouver Island has to offer.
A wonderfully quiet B&B with an absolutely stunning view. A family lives there full-time, but they were so unobtrusive it was like we had the place to ourselves. The room was very clean, with all the amenities we expected from a quality B&B. If you decide to visit, it would be advisable to have a vehicle. If you arrive at the municipal airport in Nanaimo, it's a good half hour drive to the B&B ( around $60 CDN). The local ride-share (Uride) were our lifelines to the islands attractions. I would recommend them, the drivers are prompt, courteous and friendly. Skip the Dishes were also our lifeline to sustenance. Kudos to these businesses. If you like stunning sunrises/sunsets, soaring golden eagles and grazing deer, views of the Rockies and the Lower Mainland. This is the place for you.
